Market rent is something like $916 to $1,800 for units of these sizes, while homes at Casa Dominguez range from $396 to $1,279 per month.

Market rent is something like $916 to $1,800 for units of these sizes, while homes at Casa Dominguez range from $396 to $1,279 per month. Apartments have Energy Star appliances, efficient low-E windows, and, in addition, have been constructed with a good amount of insulation to keep energy costs down.

An 85 kW solar photovoltaic system powers all of the common areas, while the landscaping is irrigated with what is known as the first gray water irrigation system in Los Angeles. Residents can also monitor the property’s energy consumption on a video monitor in the community room.

Casa Dominquez has The Children’s Collection, which provides pre-school, day care, and after school programs, and St. John’s Well Child and Family Center, which provides medical, dental, and mental health assistance to those in need.

Casa Dominguez was built with the assistance of Benchmark Contractors, Inc., green building consultant Global Green, energy consultant Alternative Energy Systems, construction manager J. S.
