Circular Passive House Villa in Sweden
Circular Passive House Villa in Sweden
Kjellgren Kaminsky Architecture recently let us know of a newly completed Passive House in Borlänge, Sweden. It's beautiful, prefabricated, contemporary, and, stating the obvious, circular. The 1,700 square-foot home features an interior atrium, lake-facing kitchen and living room, and more private bedrooms and bathrooms on the other side of the home.
As a Passive House, Villa Nyberg is extremely airtight and energy efficient. It will consume only 25 kWh/m2 per year for heating and already set a new record for airtightness in Sweden, according to KKA.
KKA designed a set of 10 Passive Houses and this one is the first to get built. The firm hopes to make prefabricated, energy-efficient, eco-friendly homes available to everyone.
