Downsizing with IKEA Modular Dwelling

You've probably heard about IKEA's prefab homes offered overseas called BoKlok. This isn't anything like that, but it has some interesting potential. As discovered by Michael Janzen of Tiny House Design, IKEA recently teamed up with ReadyMade to show these ReadyMade Signature Modular Dwellings at a few locations along the West Coast. Emeco with a New Recycled Material

Emeco, maker of iconic chairs with 80% recycled aluminum, will soon offer the Navy Chair made with recycled Coca-Cola bottles, according to Dezeen. Representing four years of research, 111 Navy Chair will be made with 111 PET bottles, or about 65% post-consumer content. According to Emeco, not only will the chair be "super strong, durable and comfortable," but it will also be "warm, colorful and about half the price of the aluminum one." Thoughts? Traditional LEED Platinum in Georgia

New World Home, a design-build company, recently took LEED Platinum for another traditional home in Geogia. Like the other one nearby, this Marietta home was factory-built in modules and has a slew of green features. It's the company's Chadwick design and the award-winning home also carries NAHB Gold and EarthCraft Gold certifications.
